Wormfarm Institute, based in Reedsburg, has added another feature to this year’s Farm/Art DTour.

Twenty dialogue balloons will be installed throughout Sauk County as part of the event, which is scheduled Sept. 26 through Oct. 4. The display is inspired by “The Land Remembers,” a memoir by Ben Logan about life on a small farm in Wisconsin.

These large balloons will feature quotes from voices that shaped Wisconsin’s history.

The project is made possible by a $10,000 grant from the Wisconsin Humanities Council.

Wormfarm will curate content in conjunction with conservation biologist Curt Meine, who wrote the foreword for Logan’s book.

The tour is self-guided, and participants may stay in their vehicles or walk in wide-open spaces, so COVID isn’t expected to jeopardize it. The tour is free.
