Boys team and Wirth first at Montevideo meet

The Benson-KMS cross-country teams continue to have very successful seasons as the boys team won its third-straight meet at Morris Area last Monday, while Isabel Wirth won the individual title for the girls team and Landon Thompson and Jacob Gareis placed second and third in the boys race.

The Benson-KMS cross-country teams were set to compete at home again, Thursday (tomorrow) as the teams host a meet at the Benson Golf Course at 4 p.m.

The team is also set to close out the regular-season Tuesday, Oct. 6 at Minnewaska Area before possibly competing in the postseason.

“It was a hot and sunny meet at Morris, and it was a great meet all around for us,” coach Samantha VanHeuveln said.  “We’re looking forward to a great week and a half of practice and then our second home meet Oct. 1 where we will honor our parents for Parents Night...”
