Girls tennis team continues winning ways with third and fourth victories

The Benson-KMS girls tennis team improved to 4-2 overall and 4-1 in the WCC with two victories last week.  The Fighting Braves shut out Melrose on the home courts last Tuesday and Benson-KMS also won at Sauk Centre Thursday by a 5-2 score.

The team is set to close out the regular-season with a match at home against MACCRAY, Tuesday (yesterday) followed by a match at Minnewaska Area, Thursday (tomorrow).

A two-day conference tournament is planned for Sept. 29 and Oct. 1 at a time and place yet to be determined.  The MSHSL also voted to allow girls tennis teams to hold a section team tournament this year, although the exact format of the tourney has not been determined...
