Robert “Bob” Foster Jr., 80, of Appleton, Minnesota  passed away Tuesday afternoon, October 27, 2020 at CentraCare Health-Care Center in Paynesville.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Robert Eugene Foster Jr. was born May 7, 1940, in St. Cloud, Minnesota, the son of Robert Eugene Sr. and Oliva (Landwehr) Foster.  Bob was raised in the St. Cloud/Stearns County area, where he graduated from Foley High School.  

November 25, 1961 he was united in marriage to Geraldine Halfman.  This union was blessed with five children: Sharon, Rose, Doug, Kevin, and Chris.  The couple later divorced.  Bob was married to Shirley Ann Reuss June 15, 1991 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Danvers by Rev. Magnus Peterson.  They enjoyed over 29 years together!  

During his working years,  Bob was employed as a crusher operator for Bauerly Bros. Construction for over 30 years.  He retired at age 59 after suffering a stroke.  Bob and Shirley lived in Danvers from 1990-2003, when they moved to a farm site near Appleton.  He enjoyed classic cars and tractors, going to auctions, and searching out treasures at yard sales and pawn shops.    
Bob passed away Tuesday afternoon, October 27, 2020, at CentraCare Health-Care Center in Paynesville.  He attained 80 years, five months, and 20 days of age.  

Bob is survived by his wife Shirley Foster of Appleton; his children: Sharon (Tom) Kotz of Rice Lake, WI, Rose (Scott) Williams of Mesa, AZ, Doug (Cherri Carpenter) Foster of Oak Park, Kevin (Judi Regnier) Foster of Foley, and Chris (Terry) Lovejoy of Duluth; step-children: Karen Downey of Breckenridge and Lee Fey of Cumberland, WI; nine grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; siblings: Patricia Foster of Northfield, Ruth Karp of Spicer, Joe (Karen) Foster of Sartell, Henry Foster of Sauk Rapids, Susan Foster of Carson City, NV, and Joan Foster of Santa Fe, New Mexico; brother-in-law, Bernie Henneck of Kingman, AZ; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Sr. and Oliva Foster; brother, Vincent Foster; and sister, Mary Henneck,  October 31, 2020.
