She was baptized, received her first communion, and confirmed at St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson. She attended grade school at St. Francis Catholic School and graduated from Benson High School.
On August 10, 1974, Sandra was united in marriage to James Nordaune at St. Francis Catholic Church.  This union was blessed with over 40 years of marriage and three children. They made their home in Benson. Sandra was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church and spent a lot of time throughout her life volunteering at church. She also readily volunteered her children whether they wanted to or not. For her many years of service, Sandy was awarded the Bishop’s Medal of Service.
Sandra loved reading cookbooks, the cooking part not so much; however she was famous for her potato salad recipe. She enjoyed going to garage sales, dining out, and attending shows at the Barn Theater and other plays. She loved her family especially bragging about her grandchildren and annoying her children. She was up for any adventure her kids or friends wanted to take her on. After she retired, Sandy volunteered at Prairie Five.  She was called from this life on Tuesday afternoon, July 13, 2021, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. She attained the age of 73 years, 10 months, and 7 days.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Nordaune; her son, Jason Nordaune; her parents, Donald and Mary Lou Kepner; her parents-in-law, Elvin and Bernice Nordaune; and two dogs, Pickles and Zoey. Blessed be her memory.
