Two COVID-19 deaths in one week bring county’s total to 6

Swift County saw its sixth death attributed to COVID-19, the deadly disease caused by the coronavirus, reported by the Minnesota Department of Health Monday.  Four of the deaths have come in November as the number of cases in the county and state explode.

The fifth death from the disease occurred Nov. 18 and was a person in their mid to late 70s while the sixth death was a person in their early 90s.

Swift County’s first death from COVID-19 was reported June 5. The second death wasn’t reported until nearly 20 weeks later on Oct. 2 but the third followed Oct. 28 and the four Nov. 7. The fourth death was reported by MDH Nov. 15 and was a person in their mid-60s...
